30 in 30: Top NHL Fantasy Sleeper Picks - Boston Bruins

It's almost time for those annual fantasy hockey drafts. While most drafts will feature the same players going in the first two rounds, it's those players that you take in the mid to late rounds that will win you your pool. Here's the second of the thirty players that could be great sleeper picks in your draft this year.

Tyler Seguin - Boston Bruins
Position - Center
Height - 6' 1"
Weight - 182
Drafted - 1st round, 2nd overall - 2010 NHL Entry Draft
2010/2011 Stats - 74GP, 11G. 11A, 22P, -4, 18PIM

You might question why a second overall draft pick is listed as a sleeper this year but when you played as little as Seguin did last year it's hard not to. Most people spent most of the season wondering why the Bruins would burn a year of his contract while having hi up with the Bruins playing limited minutes in a third line role. As the playoffs started he was watching all the games up in the press box until the Eastern Conference Finals when the Bruins were forced to put him in the lineup with their injuries piling up. He ended up scoring 7 points in 13 games and actually scored 6 points in his first two playoff games.

With all the games that the Bruins played last season they're bound to have some injuries and suffer from a bit of Stanley Cup hangover. Look for Seguin to get more opportunities than ever this season. It's expected that he could see some playing time on the second line where he could play the wing with Patrice Bergeron at center. There's a great chance that Seguin more than doubles his 22 points that he scored last season.
